1) How long do I need to detoxify the vegetables and meat?

We have a list of timing for most of the food which can be found in the manual inside the packaging of each unit. Generally, all food is 15 minutes, eg. fruits, vegetables, seafood, etc. Only for meat, chicken, lamb or beef, we detoxify for 30minutes. The machine operates for a maximum of 45 minutes which can be used for your long bath or the refrigerator, once a week. There is a 3 min on/off function where you can use for a liter of water. If you have more water, you can multiply accordingly.

 

2) What happens if the ceramic stone or tube is broken?

You can purchase a set which comes with the silicon tube and air stone at Rs 550.00 

 

3) How do I service the machine?

We will arrange for a courier service to pick up and send back the machine to you house once a year for a general maintenance. 

 

4) What should I do if my unit gets spoilt?

You should call our Okamizu Info Centre. Remove the silicon tube and power cord. We just need the unit with the box. We will take at least 10 working days to repair the unit. But, if the unit is spoilt within a month after purchase which is due to manufacturer’s defect, we will change 1 new unit immediately to you. 

 

5) Why do we need to perform the general maintenance?

We will open up the machine and check that everything is functioning well, including the plasma ionization and ozonization levels. This will ensure the unit operates with optimum performance and can last longer. We will also help to clean up the dusts accumulated around the component parts.

 

6) What if some parts get spoilt in the machine?

We have all the replacements parts and we shall charge according. Themajor part for the food detoxifier is the air pump. The rest are minor parts. We are in midst of coming out with costing of the air pump.

 

7) Do I need to detoxify for longer periods if I have a lot of food?

The unit is designed for household consumption. If you have three or five chickens, it is still fine to use the 30 minutes because ozone dissolves quite fast in the water. If for huge restaurant consumption, you may need a few units.

 

8) How do I service the ceramic air stone and silicon tube?

Remove the tube from the machine and let it air dry. Detach the ceramic stone from the tube. You can use a brush to gently brush the air stone with running water after detoxifying food. Once a while, let it dry under the sun. If there is any bad odour, you can detoxify the air stone in plain water for 3 minutes and then sun dry it.

 

9) How much power does the unit consume?

The power consumption is minimal at 35W, something like a light bulb in your house.

 

10) How much does it cost for a unit?

Rs19,950.00 inc. VAT with one extra silicon tube. Most customers would buy an extra silicon tube, using one for vegetables and fruits, and the other for meat-based. Some customers even buy up to 5 tubes for various purposes.

 

11) Will the nutrients in the food be lost?

We have a laboratory test on the meat to show that most of the nutrients are maintained with very slight reduction. This can only be possible with a good detoxifier. If you use those conventional technologies, it might reduce the nutrients substantially.

 

12) Do I need to wash the food again after detoxification?

It is not really necessary to wash the food after the detoxification process.  But if you feel the need to rinse the food after the detoxification, you can do so with filtered or purified water to avoid any re-contamination with tap water.

 

13) How long can the machine last?

We have a one-year warranty for the product. As long as you send the machine back for general maintenance once a year, it will last. We have all the component parts ready in the factory.

 

14)  How sure it can be 100% detoxify?

We do not claim that we can detoxify all chemicals by 100%. Our objective is to try to minimize as much chemicals as possible before intake. Most chemicals can be reduced through our Okamizu Process and we have a series of laboratory tests which we can share. To share with you, many developed countries have proven and commonly use ozone technology for water, food, swimming pool treatments, etc.

 

15)  Some vegetables and fruits float up during the detoxification process, how?

Just use a cover to cover the bowl with a small gap for the silicon tube. (as long as it is not plastic).

 

16)  Is the product sold in Japan?

Currently, we have not exported to Japan. We have actually innovatedfrom a Japanese technology and now, it is a made-in-Malaysia product with most laboratory tests from University Sains Malaysia. It is just like National, Panasonic or Toshiba. We adopted the name Okamizu due to our vision for moving towards environmental friendly products. 

‘Oka’ means mountain/hill,‘mizu’ means water.

 

17) Can I use it overseas?

Response: For the food detoxifier, most countries which are using 230-240 voltage can use. If the plug pin is different, you can just buy a multi-plug to fit. For the air detoxifier, there is a small red knob at the base behind the machine, which can also be set to 110 volts for countries like Taiwan or others.

 

18)  Why can’t I use a plastic container and what other bowls can I use?

Not all plastics are ozone-resistant. Hence, we advise not to use plastics generally. It would be best to use stainless steel, ceramic or glass bowls.

 

19) How about baby bottles, some are poor quality plastics?

Generally for plastics, we try to avoid direct detoxification. You can first detoxify the water in a glass or stainless steel container and use the detoxified water to rinse the baby bottles. But in the market right now, most of the bottles especially the good ones use silicon.

 

20) Can I detoxify in the plastic mineral bottle?

Generally for plastics, we try to avoid direct detoxification. You can first detoxify the water in a glass or stainless steel container and subsequently fill up the mineral bottle. If you have doubts of quality of mineral bottle, it may be advisable to use a glass or stainless steel bottle to contain the water.

 

21)  Why meat have foam, but for vegetables, it is not visible? 

Pesticides are generally soluble in water, hence it is not visible. For the foam, it is a long chain of fatty acid which is more prevalent in meat. Most of the fatty acid has polymer-based compounds which may be difficult for the body to absorb. If the body is able to absorb, it actually goes into the blood stream which may be bad over a long period of intake.

 

22) Can the antibiotics be removed?

The foam does not show the antibiotic, but during the 30 minute process of detoxification, we have a laboratory test to show that the antibiotic has been absent after   we detoxified   the   meat. 

  

23) Will the foam be totally gone if I detoxify for longer period of time?

The chances of foam being totally gone is rare because more fats can be removed through longer period of detoxification, but the side effects could be more nutrients lost. Hence, we do not need to over-detoxify the meat.

 

24) Will it also kill the good bacteria?

Ozone generally does not recognise good and bad bacteria. Hence, it can remove good bacteria to a certain extent. However, it is more important that we strike a balance by removing the chemicals which are far more harmful than worry about sacrificing some good bacteria, which is anyway, not so common in the raw food.

 

25) Why is Okamizu Process so consistent and what is inside?

Response: Through five years of research and development, we have fine-tuned the Okamizu process to ensure that the setting is right to ensure minimal by-products and efficiency in removing chemicals with a series of laboratory tests. Our process is a Japanese-innovation based on plasma ion generation and ozonisation. In terms of technology, it uses low current and combines the best of the cold plasma and corona discharge methods.   For most of the parts that come into contact with ozone, we actually use ozone-resistant materials. This also applies to component parts inside the machine which are not visible.  A major part of the consistency is also the result of the correct and good quality components used to manufacture the machines.

 

26) I use to boil the meat one round, before cooking. Isn’t it the same?

Boiling the meat uses a lot of energy, ie. gas and the effect are not as powerful as our simple yet effective detoxification process.

 

27) I always detoxify myself by exercising and taking lots of supplements?

It’s good. You should continue doing so. We are trying to share the ‘pre’concept, whereby we detoxify the food, before we take into our body. By having less chemicals, our body can actually do better self-detoxification and probably have better absorption for supplement intake. They actually work hand-in-hand.

 

28)  How about pesticide inside?

The detoxification process is generally more effective on pesticides on the surface of the vegetables or fruits. Nevertheless, dissolved ozone can permeate to a certain extent on single-celled fruits and vegetables and also through the pores of some vegetables and fruits. Actually, the most killing part is the high dosage surface pesticides which some farmers apply after harvesting. 

 

29)  How about wax on apples?

We cannot remove all wax from apples. Some of the wax is very thick in nature, while others are less. After detoxification, some of the wax may be easily wiped out with a rough cloth if it is not too thick.

 

30) Will organic - free range chicken also have the foam?

Generally, a ‘true’ organic chicken has less foam because less hormones and antibiotics are fed and they have more freedom to ‘roam’ about in open space. Hence, there are generally less fats and also polymer-based compounds in the feed meal.

 

31) Can I put the tube inside my month or nose to breathe ozone air?

We do not advise to place tube into mouth or nose. Ozone can be corrosive and it is only recommended to be used on the food. We do not recommend direct contact in the air for the food detoxifier.

 

32) Can this cure like skin disease, cancer?

Skin disease and cancer can be due to a multitude of factors and we cannot claim that the food detoxifier can cure any disease. Generally, if a person intakes cleaner air, water, food and has less stress, it should contribute to a healthier being. We are promoting the pre-concept and DO NOT claim to do the reverse. Note: Do not have any health claims on detoxifier.

 

33) How can this machine help for cancer patients?

Cancer patients’ immune system might be weaker. They should minimize intake of chemicals or bacteria which can burden their body system. That’s why some doctors always advice cancer patients take organic food. By having food with fewer chemicals, we reduce the burden of the liver to further detoxify food. It will generally help all people. The food detoxifier can assist in intake of food with fewer chemicals but DOES NOT cure cancer patients.

 

34) How do we know if the machine is still functioning properly?

We advise to send the machine for servicing once a year to ensureoptimum performance. Generally, you can detoxify meat and small amount of syrupwater to test if the machine can still function.

35) When the chemicals are broken down, will the residue be harmful?

Generally, the chemicals are harmful in their original form, ie. When applied on the food. When the chemicals are broken down, they are rendered harmless.The only worry on ozone in water is when very high levels of ozone are infused in water containing bromide. However, due to the danger of bromide, it has been removed at the waste water level prior to bringing into the household for consumption.

  

36) How long has Okamizu been in the market? Why I never heard?

We have been in the market for 7 years. For the first 2 years,we performedresearch and development without selling. For two-and –a-half years, we tested the Malaysian market through soft launch and sold over 10,000 units. We started the shopping mall concept in 2009 and to date, we have over 100 Okamizu Information Centers. Our manufacturer has been in existence for 29 years and it is a public-listed company.

 

37) What is the benefit of drinking oxygen water?

Our body cells require a lot of oxygen to perform its functions. With more oxygen intake, it can actually help in various functions of the body. A noble prize winner, Dr Otto Warburg concluded that cancer cells cannot survive under oxygen-rich environment. Most of us, especially living in the city have a lack of oxygen, especially when we are stressed.

 

Home-cooked food is not as safe as we think. Why?

In terms of processing, home-cooked food are cleaner but not healthier because of some toxic substances which we cannot be removed (eg. Pesticides, antibiotics, carcinogens, preservatives, colouring, chemicals. That's before counting the bacteria and germs).

What is the difference on the fruits and vegetables after detoxification?

They taste crunchier, fresher and more natural. For some vegetables (even organics), especially when consumed raw like salad, or for juicing, they taste sweeter and fresher. For shelf life, (eg .tomatoes), they actually can store 3 - 4 months longer, if wrapped properly.

 

What are the other usages? 

Apart from food detoxification , we can use for  face wash, ozone spa, deodorizing the feet, sterilizing kitchen utensils and baby toys, deodorizing refrigerator and much more….

 

How long does it take to detoxify the food?

For meat, it takes 30 minutes (you can do once or twice a week and store them), for seafood, vegetables, fruits, herbs and utensils sterilizing (15 minutes), the longest is refrigerators and bath (45 minutes). 

 

Any compulsory yearly replacement of component parts?

Is it something like water filter?

Other technologies:-

The most conventional technology by using hot spark and high current tends to produce high concentration of ozone. There is a risk of producing harmful gasses and food nutrients might be lost. This technology may be more suitable for commercial and industrial uses where monitoring is needed.
